Gartner has named the development and retainment of young (IT) professionals as one of the key contributors to a company’s success in the 2020s. Many companies are unfortunately too caught up in the short term business demands and end-of-year closing than to properly support the development of their ‘youngsters’. A lot of great talent will often decide to jump ship to the first company that offers them a good package yet often they will not have been properly exposed to alternative and even much better options. Of course, this dilemma has been going on for ages and in different sectors…the most obvious is in competitive sports and IT!
